I can't access my Roadside Stand or mailbox

When i try and access my roadside stand or mailbox it says i have to log into facebook and invite friends. Do i really need to do this to keep playing? What can i do to bypass this? Do i need to delete my current game and start over from scratch?

The answer I got from Hay Day was to log out of Game Center, the log back in. It worked.
