Pickpocket on Rogue

Any idea on when to use the pickpocket tool when you are the Rogue? I sometimes use it to get the key to the mansion and when I am doing the quest for Ug and Og (that lets me complete both quests not just one). Otherwise, I haven't found any great use for it. Any thoughts appreciated.
