Unexplained charges to my account? (Closed)
My son has been playing this game, and there are charges incurring that have not been authorized. other than buying items in the market, are there charges that happen automatically? he does not know the password to my itunes account, and as far as i can tell in order to buy anything you have to enter the password before anything is purchased. please help! we keep getting charged for things and i would hate to make him stop playing if there is a way to stop this from happening.
Answer from: Here I am
It could be that you have recently purchased an app in the appstore because you do not have to enter a password after 15 minuets since you entered it to purchase merchandise and no i don't believe they charge you without notice

When i buy things on dragonvale it takes more than just what the object cost. is there a small fee for getting things on dragonvale with itunes money or on a debit card?

Go into your settings under general, and go to restrictions and create a pass code and then click enable restrictions. scroll down and in- app purchases and turn it off. this will prevent you or your child from making in app purchases. my 9 year old racked up $90 worth of charges and didn't know it. i am happy apple has handled the problem for us.

My mom says i stuff is evil, they try to get money out of your account they don't rightfully deserve, but this is a first for me. try going to the nearest apple store about it, they might be able to help you.

I think there is an issue with this game as i too have now received over $200 of unexplained charges and have found several other people that are having this issue lately as well. i believe there must be hidden charges or some problem with the items that come up (cost more than indicated). even got charges after the app was removed from the device and computer. so far itunes is not being helpful.

I received 140 euro charges for this game in the last week. With the first 2 invoices I thought I had mistakenly authorized en expensive purchase while my son was playing. Now I am convinced this is a complete scam. I received 4 invoices yesterday on my credit card, no authorization, and my son doesn't know my password. I deleted the game today. Hopefully will get no further charges. Will try to contact customer service tomorrow.
Answer from: Ticked off also
Same thing happened to me yesterday. My 10 year old daughter "asked" me to authorize a single in app purchase for 4.99. Last night, I checked my email and we somehow got charged almost $150 worth of 1.99 and 4.99 charges numerous times. I've disabled in app purchases and even disabled appstore. I received charges even after this. I since changed my appleID password and removed my credit card from file. Hopefully that will be the end of the charges, but I am still ticked-off about the charges we never authorized. There must be some freakin feature that does auto charges without your knowledge. I hate companies like this...

We have been caught twice with this problem. I previously deleted Dragonvale after discovering unauthorised transactions on my credit card from i-tunes. I thought it was my mistake for not dilegently signing off and disciplined my son for making purchases without telling me (some of which he had). However, six months later, we decided to give it another try. This time my child definitely did not purchace anything and I definitely was not signed on. Within a day, mysterious charges began appearing on my credit card - all in $1 and $2 amounts. This time I have deleted the program - for good! It IS a complete scam.

I have at least five dragons in the hibernation cave. Had a large metal habitat built for the dragons, such as the Copper, Quicksilver and Ironwood dragons. Have tried moving the dragons from the hibernation cave and I am unable to do so. Any solutions to this problem?
Answer from: Mom
I had the same issue $500 charges. The problem is if you put your password in for anything free the AppStore saves it in there system and if your child purchase anything the app remembers the password and charges you. I'm convinced that it how I was charged $500..I have since put a password in restrictions ..general settings to avoid any charges in the future of occurring!

We got charge over $85.00 US, on numerous small amount over the last few days on the game "Clash of Clans". I ask my son about this and he never hit the buy button to buy "diamonds" or "coins" without asking me so I know he didn't do this. These were all unauthorized charges on the game "Clash of Clan". Luckily our credit card company called to alert us. This is a game my son is playing the last week or so on his i-pad, it then ask him to update the game which he did, this is I think the numerous unauthorized charge can in!Outright stealing the money! Unbelievable what they are doing! Beware.

This just happened to my family. My ten-year.old son spent $800 playing the game on six separate days within one month. He was buying gems for the Dragonvale game. I search the games for violence and it never occurred to me that this innocent game could cost so much dinero. How they can even think to charge this much to make q dragon world is beyond me. Greed is not good contrary to what Gordon Gekko may say.

Answer from: 4xMom
Same situation... I've heard that Apple has refunded some people for this but my bank says there is nothing they can do. Surely there must be something we can do...
