In this game i believe is used strictly for decoration, and was offered due to leap year.an astrolabe is an astronomical instrument used to measure problems in astronomy and navigation. was replaced by the sextant after the middle ages, hope that answers your question!

The astrobe allows u to buy or breed the leap year all year long! keep buying one every 4 years you can buy them forever!!!!!!!!! thats why i buy one every year!!!

Belac's answer makes no sense, this game hasn't even been around for a year yet! actually, not even 6 months yet, although in a few days...that will change. so, they have "bought one every year" for a game that's been in play for around 6 months...what???
