Sandstorm is earth and air which are opposites and therefore can't be bred together. so the use of a half breed earth dragon with is necessary to breed one. eg. lava, mountain, mud, tree, moss. i think tree and moss work better than the others though for some reason. also the sandstorm is rare so it'll take quite a few goes to get one, you just have to be lucky. otherwise is you have enough gems, on the updated version you can buy one for about 1000 gems i think.

I have a theory which i am not sure whether it may work. sandstorm dragon is air + earth as indicated in their symbol so air is core and earth is secondary. thus the egg shell is likely to be purple with specks.

i did the same to breed a blue fire, and it seems that one is hatching soon using a level 10 fire and level 4 snow, i.e. fire is core and cold is secondary. i will try this method for my sandstorm next and hopefully it will work.

No you need to place both boosters on the same island and then you have to choose one and hope for the best

Apparently its due to to the time of the day you choose to bread, eg 7am to 8am

I followed the theory on the previous post about primary elements. i bred a level 10 air dragon (air primary) and a lvl 6 moss dragon (earth primary) and got a sandstorm first try. 2 hour breeding time...
