How do you fight?

I really don't know what i am supposed to do when my sim engages in a fight! i keep losing! someone please help! x

There is a symbol that you have to push. it's on the bottom left just above your abilities box. it only shows when your sim is ready to attack it's like a stamina bar. and that is located around your sims face picture and that is located on the top right of your screen
