I'm having the same problem! it won't work, & i've had this quest for a week now.. i've googled everything about it and nothing came up. sorry this didn't help, but js.

I saw on another thread that they have to have the same "role" as you, like say youre a missionary; you have to find someone who is also a missionary and add them. try that and see if it works. i'm still working on this quest as well with no luck as well, because the above method is still hard to achieve.

I don't have this quest but in my kingdom there are sims that play the role of inquisitor. so i think that you just have to find someone who plays the role of inquisitor.

Check the gray characters around the map- greet them all and use the characters menu to check what "role" they have under their name. one should say "inquisitor", and they will likely be dressed as a priest

Find a priestess and befriend her by talking about religion and politics become friendly enough to add to guild.. priestess wear big head dresses and have very peculiar pretty names

Ok first of all, make sure you are trying to add an inquisitor. you can tell this by looking in the relationships section of your quest book, finding the person and looking under their name at they're role. if you are still unable to add this person to your guild,then it may be because you are not sincere friends with them. most likely it will be because your alignments are too different. it will tell you this when you try to add them to your guild. if you are too good steal simoles till you are neither bad or good, of you are too bad donate money to the church or insult people until you are neither bad or good. if your alignment changes to one side they will leave your guild. hope this helps :)

When you go to the map you go to the map you look for the people who are greyish,blueish. you go meet one of the and become friends with them. then you go into your journal and you check what role that person is. he/she could be a pesant, spy, herbalist, guard (etc) if that person's roll is inquisitor than you should add that person to your guild to finish the quest. when i did the quest the name of the inquisitor in my village was erik grudmar so i added him to my guild try looking for someone with that name to see if he's an inquisitor

If you are different alignments then you go to the market and buy a love Potion give it to them and they will change to what you are.

Karen Curious is the inquisitor, her alignment is good though so you have to make sure that matches

There is a character named Oswald Suddin and he is an inquisitor. He wears a big head piece and is a black man. Try adding him.
