To make it stop u have to put toches every where to make the room light and not dark it mostly happends in caves

Because when a place is dark, monsters will spawn there, so keep the area lit where u dont want monsters to spawn!

They are coming in because you don't have any or enough windows or light to come in to your shelter.

Darkness means monsters have a place to spawn. Use torches (made by 1 coal lump and a stick) to light up areas. If you have been in the Nether, use glowstone.
