Look in the open area between prosperidad & the train station (closer to prosperidad). basically across the map from eagle eye for vultures. i find crows by the towns & where the sheep are.

Anyone have any more info about finding crows? i have spent a ton of time looking around sheep spawning points. i still have only seen one.

I completed a 5 pack crow feather mission near the "abandoned train" in arizona by circling around the purple area of the map. the area seems large enough to trigger a spawn.
crows are very tiny and hard to see, each animal makes a particular noise. many times i'd hear a crow turn directly around (double tap on v-pad) and would find the noise maker. sometimes you will hear them and they appear to fall out of the sky.
you can use the crossroad signs to change from dusk and dawn. i have found most of the crows during dawn, the above poster noted the had better luck at night. using the crossroad signs to change day to night doesn't seem to magically create spawn, i still do some running around before i find anything.
it seems that the spawns have some type of trigger. distance seems to be one of them, auto travel doesn't seem to affect the spawns. by auto travel i mean the "fast" travel from clicking the jump to mission or double click the oregon/arizona paths on the map.

i just started hunting vulture feathers and am killing them during the day at aspa hill in arizona. i don't know if its the boredom from not seeing them, but it seems like killing some snakes and other animals in the area draw the vultures in. going with the sound, sometimes they are still flying when i hear them. on a side note, it seemed killing foxes helped the sheep spawn.
just a side note, some of the critters like the armadillos run off when they hear a gun shot, or see you (not sure what triggers it). i hear them do a 360 and don't see anything. i try to follow a spiral direction (going in circles while the circle gets larger) and find them.

I don't think there is really any particular area that crows or vultures spawn, though I will admit Ive seen the. Most vultures near prosperidad. Crows are a pain and you pretty much just have to look around for them (which I assume is why they never ask for a lot of vulture or crow feathers). I dont have enough proof to support it, but I think if you see crows flying and go to that area, they will eventually land since I have definitley seen them land before.
As for spawns, the only trick I can give is to stand in a spot you know the animal you are looking for spawns then just kill everything that pops up around to force more spawns. I have also never actually seen an animal spawn (just appear), which leads me to believe that you continue to look around or the spot you are looking at wont spawn. I also notice lulls where nothing spawns for like a minute or so, and times where everything is spawning.
Hope that helps
