Hunting questions answered
This is a list of the best places to go hunting for specific animals. It is based on the idea that the best places to hunt are where you won't be bothered by other animals as much as possible (e.g. Boars can be found readily In what I call bear-alley in Oregon, but you will also have to fight off bears constantly to get them).
It should also be noted that while I have advised killing all place holders in the past, I have realized this is a tremendous waste of money and ammo, so killing otherwise is quicker, but certainly not better (and not really that much quicker either).
Armadillo: Arizona, NE of the train station where the road loops past. They spawn more elsewhere, but you rarely deal with anything more hostile than coyotes (who don't generally attack unless there is gunfire)
Chicken: Arizona, Alcove NE of Williams ranch around rock formation
Sheep: Arizona, same as chicken, Oregon, NE of Socorro town.
Boar: as mentioned, they spawn better in other places, but the easiest place to hunt them are Arizona, same as chicken, Oregon, right outside the train passage to zona (should be noted that I have, at times, had trouble looting boars in oregon, not sure why)
Coyotes: Arizona, coyotes don't seem to have a best place to hunt them other than in front of fort ghost, but then you deal with stinking snakes and jaguars. Best place I found to hunt them unmolested was las brujas, and across the canyon from there Near the big tree.
Snakes: snakes are the bane of the hunter's existence in this game. They aren't typically hostile enough to attack unless real close, but will stay on raider to you run out of range or kill them. This means they will take up a spawn point unless you run from them or kill them and decrease the number of useful spawns to come. However, e best spawn points for them are in front of fort ghost in Arizona, but you have to deal with jaguars then. Fort malanoche spawns almost only snakes (and armadillos). So that's the best spot in my opinion.
Buffalo: Oregon, the best spot for buffalo is easily right outside the train passage to zona in Oregon. The spawn a number of places in zona with some regularity, but no where near as well as this spot. Careful for the occasional rowdy cow is though who get caught up here in a loop sometimes.
Skunks: Oregon, best place I found for skunks is lumberjack woods next to the shack.
Raccoon: Arizona, same spot as chickens, Oregon, prolly the best spot all around is lumberjack woods, though not bad at Freeman fort as well.
Wargs: Oregon, freeman fort without a doubt. Have seen them spawn at lumberjack woods, but not very often.
Beaver: Oregon, where the pond dungeon is at the waterfall. Just outside of that area is the best spot for beavers, not a bad spot for raccoon either.
Bear: oregon, only one spot for bear, and you've likely already found it at some point by accident. In the two alcoves NE. Assassin's creek.
Vultures: Arizona, vultures are pretty random, and I'm not sure but I don't think they are in Oregon. I will say I have seen them with the most regularity around prosperidad just outside the entrance, but they are a rare find all over zona.
Crows: crows seem completely random all over zona and Oregon. I had a theory that you could go to where they circled in the air and they would land since I have seen them land, but that proved unreliable. On the plus side, no quests I have seen ask for more than ten crows at a time, but they are hard to come by and have no consistent spawn point. What is worse is if you happen upon a couple at once, all others will fly away once you shoot the first one.
I think that covers all of them. One other thing to note, I have not once seen an animal spawn in front of me while watching (meaning appear out of nowhere on screen). This leads me to believe that they have to spawn off screen. Keep this in mind when hunting, as they will not spawn if you are staring at the spawn points. The only exception, as mentioned above, is I have seen the birds ( vultures and crows) land out of the sky, but that's not really a sudden spawn.
Hope that helps someone,

I forgot foxes and jaguars.
Foxes are great where the badgers are in Oregon.
Jaguars. Are anywhere in the stretches in between the canyon and Fort Ghost. I prefer north of the fort where the road forks.
I should also say that I decided the spot ne of Socorro town is by far the best for sheep and maybe even raccoons.
And finally, what I meant about wasting ammo, I simply meant don't go buying it for hunting, or waste ammo you paid for. Get your ammo from the boxes or timed give always

I think the dark spot in lumberjack woods (between the two shacks) is A better place to find wargs, I found 2-5 wargs in freeman fort but in lumberjack woods they spawn everytime i turn my back against the cave-like wall. Maybe a glitch or something. XD

I saw a guy wearing blue shooting wargs between the two shacks in lumberjack. XD I think those guys wearing blue are bounty hunters, theyre always chasing bandits.

You know the spot across the canyon from las brujas? Where there's a coyote icon on the map? It's the only place where I could find 10 vultures in about 5 minutes. And that was without searching for them!

I found I could complete some of the hunter missions of Jaguars in a matter of seconds inside the Grand Canyon itself. Once the first one spawns, all you have to do is keep turning around and another will appear straightaway.
