What gun is best to kill bears?
I get killed every time and I've used all my guns - rifle, pistol, and shotgun. I'm at level 15 if that makes any difference.

I learned quickly to not waste my coins and stars upgrading that first pistol, instead I saved up by doing easy hunting missions and herbal missions galore. Just watch for the red dot and usually a related "growl" or hiss when an animal is attacking. I bought the sniper rifle and upgraded it all the way when it came to damage and 14 bullets. Stay on your horse until the bears come at you then hit the fast gallop up the hill towards that house just next to the road sign. turn and either use your zoom or just tap the revolver and point your cross hairs at the bear and keep tapping. That beast will drop in no time. FYI the only weapons I have so far is the original gun, the next gun up I won from the raffle, and I purchased the sniper for the power and the range. Good luck

Ok, thanks. But now, when I did that, I was able to collect one bear's head. All subsequent bears I shoot either disappear before I can gallop to them, or they won't register in my saddlebag.

That just happened to me too. I just removed the one bearvhead that registered and I've moved on to doing other missions, and I will go back to that one in a bit. Once again, it's just a matter of working through or around all the GD glitches in this game. The makers apparently could give a sheet about fixing any of these many problems that have plagued this game from the start. I have written to them, and seen that many others have as well, no one has ever gotten a response. And yet, the gibronies just released an update for this fkng game that just added more ways for them to take your money for this so-called free game. I will not spend a penny of money until they respond and fix all the issues, glitches and problems instead of updating ways to take my money.

Yes, and now a new one. Got the bear heads collected, but now the farmer won't accept them. The hand shows up, but the game won't move on to accept that the mission has been completed.

You can kill the bear with revolver sniper. Shot straight to the bear head. Headshot!

If you see it from a distance use you sniper rifle. make you sure you've upgraded the damage and ammo capacity or the bear will catch up to you. but I would really recommend the scythe. can't really go wrong with that.

You can run circles around the bears and keep shooting. I have used this with even the rusty gun. That takes a lot of shots but works. Gets tougher when more bears show up. Hehe.
