Read the Encyclopaedia
Please advise where the sims can read the encyclopaedia, thank you.

You have to buy a bookcase from the sims home store, in the living room category.

To read th encyclopedia you must choose the encyclopedia option after clicking the book shelf. You can buy the bookshelf under the living room section of the store. The cheapest bookshelf costs 200.

It is very simple all you do is purchase a book shelf in the living room category in the buy mode and click on the book shelf after purchase and then select encyclopedia, this process takes 1 houur

Buy a bookcase. Make sure it is expensive because if you buy I cheap one you may want a better one another day. If you do not you will regret it.

Bought the bookcase....encyclopedia not one of the options. That was a 3 star bookcase. Bought a two star and wasnt an option either. What is going on??

On the sims freeplay it told me to read an encyclopaedia but when I bought the 200€ bookcase it wouldn't let me bloody open it or do anything with it. Whenever I pressed on it nothing would happen

Fancy bookcases (for preteens) dont provide encyclopedia. Bookcases for adults (in the living room section) do. A cheap one is enough.
In my case, i was doing "read fine literature" task. First, I tried 5lp fancy preteen bookshelf. Not ok. Then, I tried 3lp fancy preteen bookshelf. Still not ok. I realized I was using the wrong type of bookshelf. Finally, I tried 400 dollar adult bookshelf. OK
