There is only one way, build a pet shop and buy any dog. The cheapest is 5 lps and it's a Greyhound. Hope this helped, Thanks!

The barn is actually a house. If u click on it, it gives u the options of which sims house u want the dog at. Are u sure he isn't in one of ur other sims properties?
