How do I get past the chambers of flame? I'm stuck.

I'm stuck in the chambers of flame. I went to the snowy slopes and got the fourth piece of the mageblade and I'm back in the chambers of flame so what do I do to get past it? I know it has something to do with the endless flow of fire bats and the glowy statue of the opposite end of the room. So what do I do?

Just send fireballs to the shining part of the statue on the very right side of the screen and hit it until the key is free to take.
