How do I beat the boss in the Chamber of Mageblade?

I'm in the chamber and I can't defeat the black blog with the spinning blades! I read somewhere that I needed to learn a spell but where do I go to learn this spell? HELP!

All u need to do is fireball him, run away and jump over him collect the mana gems and rinse and repeat.

Use the firebolt spell spell on him, dodge the fireballs he uses, grab the mana balls, and jump over him every time he spins and do this to defeat him. use again and again and again till he's dead.
