How does snowy get water?

Hi, I've been running round the dessert and been bitten by snakes and pecked by vultures, but I can't find water for tin tin and the captain! Can't find walkthrough anywhere...please help!!

You need to get Snowy to creep past the vultures that are eating. if they peck you and knock you down you have to start again. Once past them you will find a mound of earth to dig and the water is there
