Could some one help me on this quest? It says to explore the smoke in the distance but I don't know how to do this?

Explore the land until get to the priestess in the north

Basically any of the explore the land parts of the maps mean you have to clear your way to the idem they have on the map. If you press the item on the map it will take you to where it is on the islands. I have found that sometimes if you have reached the item already you may have to completely exit the game and re start it before the game recognizes you have achieved this.
