Going for gold quest

He was in the large cove on the southwest (lower left) side of the first large island near the starting area (the cove with the 1x1 island in the opening). I had to reset the app for him to show up; just returning to it from here, actually. If that doesn't work, remove any of you ships from the cove and restart the game.

How did u reset app ? I cannot see him and all the other ships have been sent on voyages and i have restarted the game.

To reset an app all you have to do is this:
1. Press the home button on your iPod iPhone or iPad.
2. Double click home button on your iPod iPhone or iPad.
3. You'll see a little space at the bottom of your screen emerge.
4. It has app icons, so act as if you're deleting the apps in the sPace.
5. To delete the history (the space IS history) just touch and hold on one of the icons.
6. Next you press the minus sign on the icons. Don't worry you aren't deleting the app.
7. To get out of history, touch above the space. You have just restarted the apps.

I cannot find Speedy Sal either. I closed out the game and restarted it (killed it off in iPhone task manager) but he still does not appear for me and quest has to be done by today :-(

Me too. Speedy Sal hasn't appeared on my map either. Same happened with the last quest. The Clown didn't turn up until my time had run out.

I just did this and it worked - Answer from: Kinase On the second island from the start screen (with the small island at the left) speedy sal will appear if you explore the corner at the right of that small island. Just explore, cut the trees and log out

You need to explore and clear the 1 X 1 square island of forest to the west of the first main island. :)

Explored the triangle of land at the end of the semi circular cove around the single square island and got him at last! However, am a bit hacked off that it cost me 1.25 billion coins (level 40) to do it when I'd decided that tiny bit of land wasn't worth it! No time to complete whole quest now anyway but at least I found Speedy Sal!
