Help with Local Raids 2/4.

I'm stuck on Local Raids 2/4. How do I get past " defeat a player and steel some loot"?

You have to defeat a player, which is in the pirates button on the bottom left hand side and you have to play one thats named player xxxx (lots of numbers behind it) the ones with names arent going to help you. Then once u have beat their ship, you have to raid them and defend if needed and in 24 hours you will have beat it
