Smash 2 cabin roofs with snowballs

How do I complete this objective on the north pole slope? I have tried jumping on top of a roof as a snowball, jumping inside of a cabin as a snowball, and jumping off a cliff and landing on a cabin as a snowball. All of these havent smashed the roof.

Maybe you are not hitting the roof correctly. It's hard to say. Keep rolling and keep hitting those cabins!
