I'm confused with wars

I was I the club page and than I clicked on war and at had three buttons an then I clicked one and I battled some one I did this for a while and I won some an lost some. I got a lot of thrones when I won but after I did a lot of battles the buttons went away. I'm confused

You can only attack 10 times during each round of a war, so it heavily relies on your club being active during wartime.
