Go to the market, then store, then gold coin. Page 2 is the memory hammer. Even though you arent buying it you can still look at the description. Pets will forget the skill that is the lowest level. This would come in handy later in the game when you have a pet with a lot of skills. Sometimes you may have the skill fire master and your pet is grass. That is how I would use it. I would definately save it because a lot happens when you are learning the game. I have been playing long enough that I hav pets with lvl 15 skills. The magic shampoo changes the pets growth. I believe that the growth adds that percent to the pets hp, atk, mtk, def, mdf, and spd. Also when you work them the higher the growth the better the gift at the point you hit 100%. So if you use a pet that is over 20% growth you have a better chance at getting egg fragments, love bente, or even 200,000. I've gotten all of that from working the pets.

I'm pretty sure the memory hammer deletes one of the pets skills such as Wind Mtk 9/ Wind Atk 8. To delete stuff like fire mastery, smite, ect. you have to use memory cards. It's really hard to select a skill once you have good amount to delete too. Be very careful with fusing your pets properties, and skills.
