At the bottom where the red and purple LEDs are, there's sort of a dent. Turn the dent into a backwards C.

The instructions and hints are misleading, as are the prior lessons that explain the subject. "Diode," in this case, doesn't refer to a part or element, but rather a specific metal shape that will only let power through one way. Assuming the number signs are metal elements, that shape will allow power to flow from above, but will block it from below. There are many solutions to this puzzle, but I solved this puzzle by building this in the lower left, between the two strips of purple and red LEDs:

Make a blob in the top right corner where the indent is with the red and purple colors

I know what he means by the backwards c. Place two pieces of metal on the top and bottom so it makes a backwards c. Bingo!

I just put a line of multi through the centre and the bomb blew up but after like 5 minutes of waiting it said I completed it lol :P

Crazy glitch: Scrawl everywhere with metal, the bomb will go off in like, 5 seconds. Reset the world and you complete it.

Apparently after the bomb exploded I just went crazy with the metal and it said stage clear. Strange.
