I have the same issue, i keep losing when im this close. Try to make your spreading come first, because that will A. Make it hard to find cure, and B. Make mutations occour a lot. Do NOT spend all of your DNA on it, just 50-75 percent. Then after youve gotten most of those up to level 2, focus on the lethality of the disease and make it more powerfull, once people are infected, they infect more, so dont kill them off too quickly. Try that, it worked for me. Good luck!

If your on bacteria upgrade air and water infectifity .. no symtoms. degen symptoms that show up. once youve infect the entire globe the buy syptoms and drug resistance.

Create your disease without any symptoms and let it spread. Devolve it so it stays without any. Then let it spread across the world using DNA points to let it be transmitted through air and water. Once every person is infected but none dead, kill them all with the symptoms page. They won't see it coming!

I was having this problem as well. Before you start evolving your disease with symptoms make sure if not the entire population then almost the entire population is infected. To ensure scientists do not notice your plague then devolve and random mutations until you achieve this. Took me a while to figure that one out. With all the saved DNA points I usually just evolve cough and go straight to the system shut down evolution, it kills the population before a cure can be found!

I focused on the survivability of the disease, advancing the disease to prevent as much research as possible then how it spreads to spread it were all nations are infected then topped it off by adding lethal symptoms and bam beaten on brutal.
