Proper way to use armor
I have been experimenting with different armor placements and cant seem to figure out if building the interior of the ship with armor makes a difference, compared to only using it on the exterior of the ship. Any help guys?
Answer from: A1C WEITZEL
Place the armor interior and exterior it increases your armor rating
Answer from: Matt
It averages the armor rating of all the blocks so the more the better. 600mm armor is the same weight and density as ballast so I use it as ballast too.

I have also been doing diferent stuff with my armor to protect my guns and if you use 200mm armor it works better then you would think and it's light weight so my ships so faster and if your boilers are getting hit a lot build a wall of 200mm or 400mm armor around them but do NOT use 600mm armor cause if you do ad ballest your ship is going to the bottom unless you use a lot of ballest and you can put armor on the top of your wall but if you don't want to that fine. But you have to make the wall one slab of armor taller then the boiler(s) your using

I also used 600mm armor on my new ship instead of ballest like you do Matt, so if you of you guys se a ship called the ' U.S.S. destruction ' and you use torpeos, you'll need a lot of of torps to sink me
Oh and another tip, if you want to know what mm armor to put on your ship, instead of putting 600mm armor on, put 400mm armor so your ship is fast cause you probably won't need much armor if your ship is fast.
Answer from: Kratos
Light weight armor is worth the price
