Help building big ship

Im trying to build a big ship 400 meters to be exact how ever I can't seem to get it to go straight nor go fast. I have over 15 slant boilers and even if I put all of them it goes up to 60 knots max also I'm having trouble with steering it takes me a REALLY long time to turn right or left causing me to get sunk really easy. Any of you have any idea how to over come the problems presented above. I use big hulls to make the 400 meter hull but I ran out of space to put ballast for stability as well.

Try using much of the 1/6 and 5/8 pieces to make your ship. More aerodynamic, 15 boilers wont increase your speed, 2 will be enough. Also, just use 2 propellers, and put them a bit further back in the ship, not completely at the back, this will increase your speed. As for the turning, live with it, you coulf make your ship broader, but thats all you could possibly do.

The position of the propellers also matter. Try putting them farther in the hull. Keep them surrounded on the sides with hull too. Hope this helps

60 knots? Wow that's decent speed. You don't really need speed when building a big ship. Just armor toughness and Strength. See if your toughness is more than 1000, you are pretty much invulnerable to attacks.

I made a ship that goes 121.8 knots with length of 325m and beam of 220m, for stability, just make a pair of wings at the end of your ship, this will also make you turn faster.

I'm not sure if putting a big rudder behind 2 propellers helps, but on my ship which is a bit small, my ship turns 90 degrees in 2 seconds. 2 angled boilers would be enough. Surround propellers in all directions except behind it. This increases speed by a lot.

Use the 600mm armor skelton as a blueprint for the body.
