Hydrofoils, do they work?
So, i was curious, is it possible to make a working hydrofoil? If it is, I would like a ship concept using them, what shape does a hydro foil require? Will it make my ship go faster? Will my ship haul stay under water then rise up as I go faster like a real one hydrofoil? They kind of fascinate me and I figured I'd try to build a working ship that uses them. And have any of you used one or seen one? Thanks!

Yes its very easy to make them you create a sort of pontoon but it goes out from the side of the ship number of blocks doesnt matter but the more you add the more stable it will be which when having a fast boat it helps a lot then extend forward and backward from the end block extending from both sides add a 1/2 hull at front of ship and you have hyrofoil you can use 1/2 hulls and move them around to create drag i did this for a boat tht kept sinking cause weapons were on front but the force when u go full speed forces end up

If you use the hydro foils for balance, if there hit too many times they will not be effective and your ship will list and possibly sink if the one on the other side pushes up too much.
