Are torpedoes worth it? (Closed)
Are torpedoes worth all the expense? When I fire a torpedo, it seems to go in random directions and usually never actually hits the target. Though it does massive damage, it seems that it won't be as effective to an enemy unless they are sailing through a field of torpedoes. Is this the same with all of the torpedo launchers, including the rare metal one? I used the type A torpedo launcher.

Yes, there worth it but use under water or get a billion of them win every time

Torpedoes are worth the money, altough they'll turn a bit. Triple torpedo tubes and underwater torpedo tubes fire straighter and are more powerfull. I'll recommend underwater torpedo tubes, because they can be fired when you are almost sunk. I don't know about the rare metal torpedo tubes.

It worth more when you are using a submarine so you din't need to rise up to the surface. But it travel slowly so it may be not good at targeting fast boat>100knots

All torpedoes are extremely powerful, because most people just armor the top of the ship, which the torpoedo completely avoids, the battleship gets hulled below the waterline, and a nice sharo list appears, in which the ship can completely overturn. THe triple torpedo tubes are worth it, but save up for the underwater, useful for any battleship or submarine.

Torpedo tube B has more speed than torpedo tube A and triple torpedo. One topedorocker have more damage than one torped tube A 's rocket and one rocket of tripple torpedo

I once experimented by trying to use a ship armed with 2 Torpedo A to sink a heavily armed and armored ship. Both were mine but on different devices. When the first torpedo hit the middle, it took out a few 12 cm guns only. It did roughly 50% damage. The whole ship looked rather badly damaged but it was still floating well. After a few more torpedoes hit the battleship, then did it sink.
But I would like to point out that both ships were static and were less than 2 km apart, at the most 1.5 km, I would say. But no ship would really stay at one place the whole battle. I learnt however that sump sequent torpedoes in the same area did barely any damaged.
Therefore, in my opinion torpedoes are powerful, but inaccurate and short-ranged weapons. One might like them on a sub, but I myself would rather invest in my reliable cannons. :)
Answer from: sub sinker
Always worth it 1 torpedo tube b facing forward on a 200mm armour boat and another a right infront,4 on each side of the boat and a depth charge on the back and boilers hidden under the deck (well 2 blocks on top)= sub sinker always wins beats cancer needs a ton of 200mm lightweight 200mm skelly 9 a torpedo tubes 1 depth charge 1 torpedo tube b (2 if u want it like dat) and u got it
Answer from: battleship
Yes. but do put them on a fast ship. hit and run attacks with lots of them can destroy ships more easily than just shooting one.
