Question & Answers
How can i increase my ship's toughness? I've built a ship fully out of 600mm lightweight armour, excpet for the 1/6, 1/2 and 5/6 corners which are 400mm, but my toughness is only 1140.6GJ. I've seen people on here talk about toughness of 4000 or more but i can't get anywhere near that. My full stats are: HP 102410, Speed 80.2, Strength: 3200375.0 MW (I have mines), Toughness: 1140.6 GJ, Armour: 986.3 MJ, Stability 102.3, Length 185, Beam 50, Height 32.9, Draft 7.1

I just posted an answer on my previous question about ship size increasing, and I think that's how they do it. 600mm armor has twice the toughness (hit points) of 400mm armor. But you can get 400mm armor in blocks of 6 or 8, resulting in greater overall toughness even if the armor is not as strong per 1x1x1 square. I will be playing with this soon and look forward to pretty fearsome results.

You can add 600 mm 3x2x1 on the deck of your ship. Also add stronger weapons like (46cm,Mk45 5 inch guns, 40cm, 38cm, 36cm). Add any weapon that has more than 1000 in damage. This is how to get more than at least 2000 toughness. Thankyou):
