Question & Answers
What is recommended armor and why?
The way I c it is that 600mm armor heavy takes more space to put a lot, but the fairly new large 400mm armour gives u same amount of strength, and 1 of them replaces 4 of the 600mm armor. So which is better and why?
Answer from: Someone
The large 400 mm amour its i think 1000 amour and 8000 toughness plus it takes less space

I tend to combine both - i'll use the large 400mm light 2x2 blocks for the hull, then top it with 600mm lightweight 1x1 blocks for the deck. This gives my ships a toughness of around 2000. As 1 block of the 2x2 replaces 4 of the 1x1 blocks, it allows you to build bigger ships (as you don't reach 100% as quickly).

Use the large 400 for face meltingly large ships but i use the 600 for smaller and more conventional ships. Put THE strongest armor setup you can get on the bow and immediately behind because that seems to take the most damage.

400mm is my choice as it is medium weight and thus, provides same amount of armor.
2x2 is best
