Question & Answers
Which is better?
I'm thinking about buying an air craft carrier or sub, but which is better? For instance, the Shinio or the USS Enterprise? Do the subs even go under water? What are they equipped with, anything?
Answer from: simonboyd481
I think subs take the fun out of the game! If i go up against a sub and my ship doesnt have depth charges, i just disconnect cos whats the point. On the other hand, if my ship DOES have depth charges, all i have to do is sail over the top of the sub, drop a charge, and i sink the sub...so one shot and game over - again, not much fun

Na aircraft carrier is better they have airplanes on them. Subs you have to resurface before you can fire at your enemy but your enemy can still fire at you.

AIRCRAFT CARRIER - Hey, dudes I think aircraft carriers are WAY better 'cause the planes will distract your opponent (single or multiplayer) and damage them. I would recommend 3 bombers (SBD Dauntless or Type 99 carrier bomber) 2 torpedo bombers (F4F or Type 97 Flying Boat) 1, 2, or 3 fighters (TBF Avenger or Zero Fighter). Bombers &(and) Torpedo Bombers are very nice 'cause they can sink any ship in one shot (if they hit). Fighters will stay out in the battlefield until they are shot down, you sink, or you win and the fighters will do fly-bys and damage the other ship a little at a time. They will also shoot at enemy planes. You should also save up for 2 or 3 MK-45 five inch guns &(and) several Type 96 25mm (millimeter) AT/AA guns. 2 large/angled boilers &(and) 1 large aircraft carrier boiler. You should consider getting *a lot* of small guns (10-20 27mm[millimeter] rapid firing guns or 5-10 5cm[centimeter]guns &(and) maybe a torpedo type A or B.
Pros: Can launch planes multiple times, does not have to resurface to shoot, not very expensive for the reward you get.
Cons: Is not very fast/maneuverable, hard to put armor on.
SUBMARINE - A sub(submarine) is not a very good choice because it costs about 100,000 just to make a sub with 1 gun, they look like sh*t (unless you are the person who designs the game). They are very hard to perfect and are slow.
Pros: invulnerable to any fired weapon, cool to be underwater. BC(Battleship Craft) made a new depth gauge, which is kinda cool.
Cons: Has to resurface to shoot with out underwater torpedo ($70,000 for 1), slow, not worth the money.

Neither you are better to make one and the pre make ships and subs are shit their are no ballest tanks to control how deep you go with the subs and the air craft carriers don't have a lot of armour
Answer from: Zibot
Well the U-Boat and SS Soryuso(wrong spelling) both come with under water torpedoes. But thanks for the help!
Answer from: Redneck
I don't even use depth charges half of the time, I just wait for the sub to screw up,and come to close to the surface and shoot at it, works almost every time, if not oh well, I can stand to lose a lil, but I definetly like subs better, if u know how to use em ur almost unstoppable

I actually used a combination of battleship and a aircraft carrier. You build the first layer like a battleship and the 3rd layer like a aircraft carrier. The second later has to be empty be cause.... Well you need a place to put your airflcraft ;) it is 6 layers in total the bottom layer is made up of 3 rows of half ballast. The outer rows on each side of the ship and the inner most 2 are made up of half ballast it looks like this at the bottom: \|—\/—|/ This gives the ship the maximum potential speed at least as far as my knowledge goes. I can get battleship up 180 knots :) with 4 gas turbines. Ohhh and my ship is 8 layers wide
Answer from: Peahead
I recommend you large 400m amour brick. For ship with width less than 35m, 2 layer of 400m under. More than 50m , 3 layer is recommended. My current carrier is called SEO Sealock CVB-17

I disagree subs can be very powerful. i have one that goes 33.5 knots and is very easy to operate. the only hard part is getting close enough to use underwater torpedoes.
