How to get new stuff

I just watched a video about new stuff but I am on 1.5.1 and I don't see the new stuff. The only fortress I see is Fortress Pisces on battleship craft. There is no Fortress Aquaries and Battleship Fuso. That's all I can remember. Help me! How can I get the new stuff!?
