Use 400mm light armor.
Answer from: Moderator
It depends on how much ballasts you have but add some here and there and it might float higher.
Answer from: Battlestar
Buy light armor doesn't really matter, also make your ship longer and wider. This will also add to your stability
Answer from: CMY
Add floats on top and they also add to your speed.

For big ship you may use 400mm big amour hull , on top 600m one block layer, lastly 400m big amour hull too. If you does it correctly It may show 2000 GJ toughness. For small one, use 400m light on top layer only . The rest layer use 600m . In my style. I dun quite like ballast at bottom as when You are attacked you end up sinking faster. Also , one trick to fast speed in boat , (more than 40 knot) is to 'cut away some big amour hull and replaced it with aircraft carrier boiler (the one inside) and outer side put 2x3 400mm light amour. The holier may serve as ballast.

Na, a fast boat is 100+ which is easy, just make a pretty good size boat out of all 400 mm lw large armor, make sure the propeller is surrounded on the top and sides, have at least 4 angled boilers, make the boat kind of aerodynamic, doesn't matter all two much, my boat is 580 long and 100 wide, 11 46 cm guns, and 14 mk 45s and it goes 120 with 2 propellers, btw I don't jailbreak, I earn my resources

Never use ballast if you want to use it you can just replace it with 600mm armour it has the same weight and density but make sure you use 400mm 2x3x1 armour you can make a ship with an empty hull too reduce the weight but remember to keep your ship armoured and well equipet for battles
Answer from: Battleshit Craf
Use 200mm lightweight armor to build
Answer from: Sergent Ng
Depends if ur ship is small remove some of the ballast and replace them with armour. And with big ships add stabalizers at the side ( large hull ) hope this helps . :)
Answer from: Lagoe
Well for a start, don't use ballast, use 600mm armor, get rid of the layer entirely, or replace it with weight 400mm armor or lightweight 600mm armor.
