Question & Answers

Take the yamato down

I have lots of ships in my fleet (I seldom buy them, I build them), I chose a ship called USS Montana BB-67 (equipped with 12x46cm main guns and 20x30.5 inch secondary armament, strongest in my arsenal) to take on yamato but failed, does even Montana battleships ineffective to yamato too? (If yes I'll build a USS Los Angeles to sink that n00by ship)

What toughness does your ship have, it must be somewhat pitiful to fail to Yamato. I've killed that ship with one of mine that only has one fourty-six (granted it was ridiculously maneuverable.

I destroy Yamato easily. I ground duel lv 9 until I had $100,000. Then I got the $100,000 skelton (the big one).

Don't worry about decorations. With the new battleship I ground lv9 some more until I had enough for the Mk 45 5" gun. I bought that, ground some more and got a 46cm gun.

Once I had all this, I go into the missions and do duel lv9. Then with the $3k (2.5k in warship craft) you replace the large hulls with 400mm large armour. You should now have a 4 large 400mm armour wide platform in the middle.

[=] = 400mm lightweight large armour
* = 600mm lightweight

(THIS ASCII DIAGRAM ONLY RELATES TO THE MIDDLE PART OF THE SHIP, WHERE YOU CAN PUT THE 46'S)

I have found you can stand up to a ridiculous amount of torpedoes (and even a mine) with this build. It goes toe-to-toe against the Yamato (I got 3 stars when I added a second 46cm).

It goes into ship level 6 when you add the second 46cm. (I do have other guns)

My full Armament for the HMAS Eviscerator / BSKiller Eviscerator is as follows:
3 AT/AA guns
4 30.5cm guns (old)
2 30.5cm guns (new)
3 30.5cm guns (+)
2 torpedo tube a
6 torpedo tube b
2 mk 45 5" guns
2 46cm guns

AIRCRAFT (Mount runways next to the 46's)
4 SBD dauntless (do not use the type 96 carrier bomber. The SBD have been revealed (in extensive testing) to be more accurate.

*PLANNED ADDITIONS*
+1 46 cm gun
+1 38cm quadruple gun
+lots of AA

+fighters
+ more SBDs
