Skill points for supply runs?

Do the Survivor skill points count for anything on supply runs or should I place Survivors with low skill there to get the discount from high skill values in businesses?

Regardless of skill level -high or low, u get 20%. This was figured out by moving survivors around. I place higher skilled survivors in stores/shops.

Put low skill workers on supply runs. Regardless of their skill your only going to recieve 20% more.
