Stuck on level 42

I just noticed that babies won't be saved even if i hit 3 same colored bubbles. why? What's the trick?

The last row of bubbles (to win) have a color border but are not a solid color. You must hit the bubble with the border color to get them to pop. In some levels, the bubbles are clear and take on the color of whatever bubble is popped next to them. You have to look closely to see the difference.
