Level 51: what makes center bubbles fall?

I've played this level dozens of times and still can't figure out how to trigger the fall of the center group of bubbles. Can anyone tell me definitively what makes them fall so that I can use the knowledge to win 3 stars.

You've got to give it a colour by changing two transparent bubbles next to it, then the centre bubble will take on their colour.

After trying 'n' times un successfully, finally I was able to crack it. Trick is not to blast the stones but blast the star bubble with the color bubbles inside the stones and once the star bubble is broken the bubbles inside of the same color crack.
