How does Performance Rating calculate?
Hi there, I have been playing with CSR Racing for a long while, but still happens sometimes that even my opponent's car has smaller performance rating I have no chance against him or I can barely win against even I perform a perfect start and my shifts are almost flawless. I have tried to upgrade my car in multiple ways with buying the upgrades in a different order but I still don't see the logic in how the performance rating calculates. (what determines which upgrades increases it and with how many points etc.) I would like to know what's the connection between the upgrades and the performance rating so I can calculate which piece I am going to buy next, so I can perform better against opponents with similar or close performance rating. Please help me out on this one! Thank you very much in advance!

The points are a glitch. I had the Cobra Jet and the Rt 12r. They both had 704 points. In 1/2 mile races, the Cobra Jet did an average of 12.17s and the Rt did an average of 11.67s. I think it mostly depends on weight. If you want do barely lose, get a fully upgraded Z4 GT3 and use all of your team in multiplayer. Perfect start. Shift into 4th gear. Hit nitro ASAP. Get perfect shifts for the rest of the way. You should be getting below the 7.2s.

The whole key is to launching the car. When you hear the tires squealing, the car is not moving forward. A lot of times, less power (de-tuning), will help the car launch faster. Do not worry about top end speed. Doesn't matter. I have both Venom GT (705), BMW Z4 (703), I have run 7.004 in Venom & 7.115 in BM'R. I can run consistant 7.130 - 7.15 in Venom, and 7.15 - 7.17 im BMW. I also have a T3 Continental (536), that i have gotten into the high 9's many times, 9.955 I beleive is fastest. T3 car ! That's 2 tenths faster than any other T3 i've raced, and i have raced well over a thousand. I've won over 75 Tiers in a row without a loss. ! and no "rescue" help either. I have screenshots to prove it too. The main thing i've found is figuring out the launch, and you have to be very very consistant, or you will never be able to tune the car faster and faster. I'd be more than happy to give you some hints that i've figured out, I guarantee you there is no competition in T3 Pro or Multiplayer and unfortunately, to tune your car right, most of it needs to be done in either of those 2. It makes a difference. My name is Tom by the way, 1st time i've ever been here before, you can try to reach me here. I'll try to check back. so reply if you want some help if I can at all. More than willing. I'm still learning too, but I noticed some other answers, and they are not misleading, but I know you can go even faster. I placed 5th last season, and i think 7th or 8th before that, right now i'm high 20's, I dont really care about the prize, but i want it anyway ! LOL ! Let's chat soon. see ya, Tom PS most cars i drive have License plates... TOMZ GT4, TOMZ Viper, etc. easy to spot me.

Most cars have another shift pattern that makes the car faster than if you just perform a perfect launch and perfect shifts. For example: The McLaren F1 csr can do a 1/4 mile run in about 7.825 with a "perfect race". With my own shift pattern I can do it 7.693 without race-team or mechanic. As thrust SSC wrote, the performance points doesn't matter, it's all about how you drive your car and what car it is. You can also get faster times by experimenting with different times to use the n2O at. ( you probably knew most of this, but I wrote it anyways in case it actually will help someone :)

Doesn't depend on performance points. Inmate4859 is right. I have an Alfa 8C and I do 9.9 with a perfect race. But with my own pattern I can do 9.69 best no mech or team. My Alfa 8C is T4/611. It depends on finding your own shift pattern. Mine is hit nitro between 2nd and 3rd gear. Shift right before your shift is too late. Do not go past 4th gear. This pattern is only for Alfa 8C that is T4/611. And Thrust SSC, make sure it's not dully upgraded. It has to be nitrous: 3 intake:4 and all else fully upgraded. It should be T5/703. Hope I helped everyone. :-)

You are right Papa Biz. It depends on finding you own shift pattern. Back then in 2013 people thought getting 7.7 with the Z4 GT3 was good. They found new patterns and now we have to do 7.1 with the Z4 GT3 to be good. Who knows, some people in the future might get under 7.0 with the Z4 GT3. Like on Racing Rivals a few cars can do 6.9. Cool huh? Let me give you a list of records: Racing Rivals: 6.9 CSR Racing: 7.1 Drag Racing:7.2?(7.4) Drag Racing has 2 versions. Thats why one might be 7.2 and the other is 7.4 with SSC Tuatara.
