No DNA in underwater park

I've expanded almost half the underwater park an not found any DNA it just seems like a big waste of coins. Is it just me or do I have to clear more? I'm about to give up on the whole thing.

No. Unlike the over ground park, you dont find DNA samples by clearing away extra land and obstacles. you have to send out DNA expeditions. I pesonally dont clear away any extra land unless I absolutley have to. If you are patient, after maybe a week or so of sending out expeditions and collecting what you found you will probably find a sample.
