How to cancel contest?

I have not unlocked a boat that can go sail the ocean. But I have accidentally accepted a contest which needs me to go to the ocean. I can't seem to cancel the contest. Any ideas?

Every day you go out - no matter where you go - it uses one day. Just go out and come back 7 times and the contest will end. I have not found a way to cancel.

Can't cancel! Just fish for a bit it will reset! Every time you go out it counts as a day
