Why do i get you have failed in the amateur competition for catching the longest fish even though at the end it shows i caught the longest fish i have received this same error three times in a row

Because you dint get the longest fish. 1st is just the name of the computer player, thats not you. Your longest fish is displayed beneath 1st. They have worded the names confusingly

No it's because you have to have the fish in your boat at the end of a competition. You can't sell the fish before the comp is over
