Question & Answers
Getting fish in forest
I have the fisherman cabin but I can't figure out to get any type of fish.
Answer from: Elizabeth
Look at the water. If you tap the cabin and it doesn't have a time counting down from three hours, then fishing season is open. Scroll around and look in the water for silhouettes of fish. Tap in front of the fish to place the line. Be careful not to place it too close in front of the fish or it will become frightened and run away. When the fish bites, swipe up. The bottom right corner should have little pictures to help you know when to swipe. Three fish can be caught per season and there are three types: trout, koi, and salmon. (I think) if you fish at (in game) nighttime, you can catch a rare black fish and get a pearl of light or something. Their silhouette is slightly different, they have an angler fish type dangler thing.

Great answer Elizabath, I was stuck on finding the "pearl of light" for a shop upgrade and I was pleasantly surprised to catch one! I think the fish is one of them Angler fish with a light dangling over their mouth.
The other three fish: Salmon, Trout and Carp share the same silhouette but you will find the Salmon fish more scared of the float and it will change direction if the float is placed near it.
The other two fish don't seem to mind the float.
