Units owned during other player attack
Hi, Is there any change to my difference whether I own 100 units or none (while being attacked)? And if there is a difference, does it matter which unit?

The difference is, if you have troops in the army camp when you are attacked and the attackers destroy your army camp. Then all troops inside the camp will be lost

That's not true I have had my camps destroyed many times full to the brim and never ones has my army been lost. I see no benefit to having them either.
