Where to get Lost Emerald?

All I have left to do is the scientist ship thing that requires the Lost Emerald, but I can't find how to get it. I read I need to get it from the Old Pirate, but I do not see an old pirate anywhere. The only pirate I see is "Pirate Mac Downey" that you can trade rum for money with. Any help?

You have to find anold pirate. He should've arrived there if that's the only one left to do. He will give you the lost emerald...
