Stuck on level 5

I have no new clothes to craft so that I can unlock level 6. Has anyone else had this problem? I filled up my pink star twice and each time the game said that I have unlocked 18 new patterns, yet the new word does not appear on any clothes. What do I do? Is this a common problem? Also, my pink star is at 30 and Maxed. What does this mean? Thanks.
