Get through level 7-3

I found this level very difficult as well. But what you have to do is first gather as many clovers as you can before you start the level. At the top left hand of the screen you see where you have the option of having 3 clovers, which means you can get hit by an enemy 3 times before you die and have to start again. Although it's only 3 clovers you can gather more. So what I did was go to an easy level first and gather as many clovers as possible. Start with about six clovers, then go to level 7-3. Make sure you have a good amount of pine cones, and collect the shield before you begin to run through the bugs. Run as fast as you can through the bugs, but be sure not to get hit by any canon balls because they immediately deactivate your shield. Run as quick as possible, gather all of the pots of gold and there are other shields you can pick up along the way. Just stay clear of the canon balls. So start with as many clovers as possible that way you have the option of getting hit by 6 or so bugs before dying, collect all the shields along the way, and then be sure to avoid the canon balls and you'll be able to pass it pretty quickly.
