Best attack style for lord and Knight's (Closed)
Ppl go on about 101 attacks, but r they as effective as they seem.I launched 1. I lost 52 troops buy only killed 26. that's not effective. is there a better way.
Answer from: Cheesy Sauce
Swordsman, archers and lancers are the best attack units. Spearmen, crossbows and armored horses are best defence. If you use lots of attack troops you will kill off lots of the enemy troops. If the enemy has lots of defensive troops they'll kill off lots of your troops etc. Also, if the defender has good fortifications or defensive research in the library they'll hold off an attack easily. Same with you, if you have offensive research in the library then you will do slightly better in the attack. But to answer your question, it depends on what troops those people are attacking with, and who they are attacking, but if you're starting off, a better way is to join an alliance to protect you, train some carts in the market and attack free castles with carts. They'll give you lots of resources to build up.

Ppl use 101 attacks as a spy method. You receive an attack report back showing you the troop levels. You guess at the rest by the castles point level.

Lancer is best one. stronger and more speed. I think lancer + less bowman is best attacks. swordman is very slow. crosbowman easly kill swordman. for the defens ; crossboeman + spearman ;) armored horseman only quick unit. If you have 50+ castle. managing and planing is very diffucult. you need some tools for planing and attcking. I prefare [www controlyourpower net ]. easly plan and automatic attack sender.

A 101 (I suggest sending 102) can be done for multiple reasons.
The most common is for the battle report to see what troops are at a castle. This is not an effective way to spy! If I have an attack incoming the only thing I don't do is leave that castle just the way it was before I spotted the incoming attack. I am either stacking it up with defense from other castles or I am setting up a trickle (101 defense). Just send 20k copper from one castle and 1 copper from another. They won't have a warning to change anything and you get a fully detailed report.
Another reason to use 101 offense is if you either don't send enough silver to cap the target or enough troops. In that case you will send waves of 52 attackers to arrive inside of each 10 minute battle window. As long as you always have at least 101 troops there when each battle starts your silver will stay. If you miss a window your last 52 troops will die along with your silver. You use this method to draw the battle out until you finally win or arrive with another attack wave.
There is no other reason to attack with a 101. In fact, the only thing it does is draw the battle out and risk the target getting more support. Strike hard and fast and fake a lot my friends.
