Out of food, is it alright to be?

No food means you cannot build or train troops
Answer from: rropers
No. It's smart, when your might builds and you need to house many troops, to put them all in one city without any food (there's no harm done). Replace all of your farms in that city, and produce your food in another city. You have to do this at some point. It's a pain that, every time you want to build or train troops in that city, you need to cart over 1m+ food to do so (and do so quickly—before it's eaten up!), but that's the way you do it.

If i were you and you have more than one city you might want to move all your troops to the city that produces the least food
Answer from: Doc_Holliday
You don't need food at all. Only what you get when you farm people to queue troops. Don't even make farms or res fields! One plot of each for requirements. They take away from your idle population so you train less troops at a time.
