How do I get all my cars abilities to work all at during a race cause sometimes in races I would normally win I don't cause the abilities on my cars don't work

The developer has said each special skill is randomly triggered, bronze more likely. Silver rarely and gold very rarely

I find people using E-Type and Ecto-1 on defense and their abilities activate quite often.
