Do People outside give clues?

I noticed the game says "watch out for trends". Do they mean look at what passerbys are wearing? As far as the ideal color or fabric? This is confusing. Lol I'm on level 10.

Yes they do. Whatever the majority is wearing may be the color. Takes some guesswork.
